Challenge:

Despite the company's extensive experience in metal component powder coating, the escalating demand and evolving quality standards pose new challenges. With the surge in new energy vehicles, there's a growing need for specialized spraying services on electric vehicle batteries and casings, requiring enhanced coating thickness to avert electrostatic breakdown.

Solution:

After a thorough analysis and collaboration with Baijie, ZHYAO's adept specialists introduced an innovative solution seamlessly integrated at Baijie in March 2023.

In response to the specific need to increase the coating thickness, we use short-wave infrared preheating to achieve rapid temperature rise (120 degrees in three minutes), improving the thickness of a single spray and the uniformity of the coating film. Through precise control of each process, two coating and two curing processes are realized on one spraying line, making the coating thickness exceed the 300 micron film thickness requirement. The good coating quality ensures the anti-static breakdown ability of the workpiece.

In addition, ZHYAO also designed a dedicated pre-treatment spray line for iron and aluminum workpieces, expanding the applicable product range and improving the adaptability of the entire line to different materials.
